Chris Martirano, former product specialist for Kurzweil, leads you through the basic operation of the multi-timbral performance mode found on your workstation. The course focuses on the primary skills you need, such as layering, splitting, and creating complex timbral combinations, to make your own custom performance setups on your Kurzweil K2600XS, Korg M3, Roland Fantom G8, or Yamaha Motif XS8.

Chris demonstrates on each workstation how to enter the multi-timbral mode, assign up to 4 different patches, set the keyboard/MIDI note range of each, set each timbre’s velocity response, gain, real-time MIDI controller flags, assign effects, and name and save these newly created creations.
