Ask Jordan

Hi Jordan my name is Paul and I was wondering if you can put some videos on pitch bending for leads and how to setup the joystick?

Hi Jordan if it is possible I'd like an advise from you. I'm composing ideas but i always ended up with compositions without clear structures. The song continues to move forward and forward and I can’t find a good connection for example a chorus

Hello Jordan ! Now i have a question about the pitch bend! I learned how to do a vibratio and a hammer on. What is the best moment to use them in a phrase? Thank you!

Hello Jordan! We met each other yesterday at the Paris DT show (amazing !) and you asked me to ask my question here. Do you think it's possible to buy/view the orchestral score of The Astonishing? Thanks! Best regards, Gil. PS: thanks for all!

Hi Jordan how are you? I have a very simple question to ask you: which is the main music sheet editing software you use to get the PDF files into your Freehands System device? Thank you. -Dida

Hello, any chance we'll get full sheets of songs instead of just snippets? There are so many other parts of songs like Screaming Head and Insectsamongus, to name a few, I'd love to learn but they're not offered in the conservatory

Hi, about Interstices score. Found a transcription here: https://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/se/ID_No/1510644/Product.asp x Question: is that sheet music coming from you or someone you trust? In other words, is it accurate enough? Many Thanks

Not a question, a thank you. Your "Keyboard Madness" video profoundly changed my approach to live. Wanted to share with you one way in which I leveraged your ideas, ironically an LTE cover: https://fb.watch/jCzSD3Qlpm/

Hi Jordan, I play a Kronos and a Nord stage live with multiple patches going and Mainstage as well. I never seem to be able to have everything leveled out for shows. How do you level all of your sounds? Thank you! Jack T

As I listen to my tracks critically, I'm frustrated at how poor I am at hitting "the pocket" and the editing I need. When u play live, it always sounds spot on. I practice to a metronome. ButR there things u can suggest for improving this? Tnx

When you record piano w DT, do you record with a real piano or a virtual instrument? MIIDI tracks or audio. Do you edit? I've noticed that your live performances are just utterly spot on in the pocket like the record.

Hello Jordan, is there any way how to buy or get your main lead sound for Kronos? Your lead is massive and beautiful and for me its hard to create.. Only settings will be enough.. Thanks for answer and see you on the road

Hey Jordan! Is there any chance of some tracks from the “Rudess Morgenstein Project” uploaded to Jordan’s riffs? Would be amazing as I love cartoon parade and night wind and would love to study them further! Many thanks - Seb

Hi Mr. Rudess, I don't understand why there are three octatonic scales instead of two per key. Isn't the C# example you gave just the same as the second octatonic example in the key of C?

Hi Jordan. Have you ever considered adding the cool ragtimey riff from A Change of Seasons, or I've also heard it in the Instrumedley, to Jordan's Riffs? Such an awesome little moment.

Good morning Mr. Rudess, About timing: I have the tendency to play the notes before the metronome click (I checked myself in a DAW): is there anything in particular I can do to correct this problem? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Massimo

Hello Jordan, hope you are well. Considering that you are very busy with the current European tour at the moment, when could we expect to have a little taste of Wired For Madness' riffs in the OC? Thank you

Wondering what you use to read virtual music on stage and practising and if there is something that you've found works best? I've experimented with Kindle but it is not ideal. Thanks.

Could the website offer a virtual fretboard that corresponds to backing tracks by lighting up CAGED positions for preselected scales you want to practice over corresponding chord changes? This is sort of what iReal Pro does, but not very intimately.
