First of all thank you for your generosity and for being so accessible to your fans. I've been following DT for over 20 years and your solo work is inspiring. Can you please post a vid of the correct fingering for DT's "Wait For Sleep"?
Hello I'm traying to improve my sight reading because the difference of what can I play and what I can read is so big. Please let me know if you have any recommendation or material. Thanks!! Greetings from Costa Rica.
I've been meaning to ask about the lead synth in "My Last Farewell". At 1:38 in the solo you make a squealing pitch bend. How did you make that raspy squeal? Is it FM? If so, do you modulate frequency or depth of the effect?
Besides your work with DT and your solo work, I've been watching YouTube clips of your solos and I have to ask: are you from another planet? How does one get that good? That last question is serious :)
Hi there Jordan! I was wondering, is there any chance of an sheet album release for the Astonishing ? I mean the keyboard part, like there was for the Dramatic turn of events. I really enjoyed that album, listening ant covering it.
Hi Jordan, Lukas from Czech Republic here. I cannot find any sheets (scores) for RA, Screaming Head..Its possible find them anywhere? I want to learn those your best songs.. Thanks so much, you are the BEST!! :)
Hey Jordan. Your sounds are the best I've heard and I noticed you use Omnisphere. When you play live, do you use midi or have you imported the patches into your keyboard? If so, how do I get Omnisphere patches in my Oasys? Thanks (:
Hi Jordan I have a quick question about Pull Me Under and the bouncy organ sound that you use at the very end of the song. How do you program that in as it sounds really cool and would to know how to do it?
All the best!
When you write, either with Dream Theater or on your own, do you go about writing the songs in chronological order from start to finish, or do you write it one section at a time and then connect the pieces together, or is it some other process?
Hi! I was wondering if you could tell me how you created the first keyboard patch of Overture 1928 (the deep D pad in the beginning of the song). Also, did you use sounds from other sources than the Kurzweil keyboard on the SFAM album? Thanks a lot!
Hello Jordan, I am learning to play the piano from your website and also from the Alfred Adult books. My question is this, do you recommend that I purchase Hanon's exercises? I have noticed that my left hand is much weaker than my right. Thank You.
