The Improvisation section contains many useful examples to help you feel more comfortable with your improvising skills. The Beginner section concentrates on improvising bass riffs in the left hand using only two, three, or four unique notes. The Intermediate section is designed to train your right hand to improvise over a constant riff in the left hand. Not only will this help you understand what fits on top of a particular riff, it will also help establish independence of the hands. Finally, the Advanced section provides you with ideas and examples for improvising music with both hands simultaneously, usually within certain parameters such as using only the notes G, C, and D.
